What will My Future Hold in this VUCA World? (Acrylic on canvas 76 x 61 x 1.5cm)
To survive in this volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world is daunting for an ordinary person, what’s more a PWD. As an artist with disabilities, it is difficult to get a steady job, not even one in the non-art
related field. I have faced numerous rejections and I feel increasingly disheartened. I also worry that AI technology like Mid journey would take over the art world and artists like me would become redundant.
My painting depicts swirling waves of emotions as I face an uncertain future.
However, there is still hope as I have my faith
in God, love of family and organization like
ART:DIS who gave me a lifeline. The vibrant
colours of red, orange and yellow in the horizon signify this hope, not just for me but for all PWDs.
